Apple and ADT: Towards a New Collaboration in Home Security

01. An Announced Collaboration

Apple seems poised to officially announce a partnership with the home security giant ADT. This partnership could be revealed on October 13 during a media event titled "Welcome home" in New York.

02. Insightful Clues

Since July, ADT has been hiring specialized technicians, but little information has been shared about their missions. The new employees have mainly been observing other technicians while waiting for details. This level of secrecy is typical of Apple, which likes to keep its projects under wraps.

Another revealing clue is the allocation of iPhones to the new ADT technicians, unlike their colleagues who work with Android devices. This could indicate Apple's intention to integrate its products into ADT's ecosystem.

03. A Smart Home Ecosystem

Rumors suggest that ADT is about to share more details about its new roles, which could coincide with Apple's announcement of its new smart home hub. This hub would be capable of managing smart home accessories and monitoring home security.

Apple is also expected to offer a range of smart accessories in partnership with other brands, such as LG. These accessories would be interconnected and allow for simplified management of the connected home.

04. Expected Features

The new hub is expected to integrate several features:

• Management of smart home accessories
• Monitoring of home security
• FaceTime video calls
• Music playback
• Calendar and reminders

As part of this collaboration, it is possible that Apple will offer professional installation services by ADT technicians.

05. A Link to Purchasing an iPhone

As this collaboration takes shape, it also raises questions about choosing an iPhone, whether it's a new or refurbished model. A refurbished iPhone can be a cost-effective alternative while offering the same features as new models. When investing in smart home technologies, having a high-performance smartphone is essential to get the most out of it.
