Verizon will charge $10 per month for the iPhone Handoff option

01. Introduction to iPhone Handoff

Verizon recently announced that it will charge $10 per month for the iPhone Handoff feature, integrated in iOS 27. This option allows users to share the same phone number between two iPhones, providing valuable flexibility for users.

02. Details of Verizon's Announcement

This information was revealed during the presentation of the new iPhone Duo, which, along with the iPhone 18 Pro, will be compatible with this feature. Handoff allows users to switch from one device to another while maintaining their communications, whether using the compact iPhone Duo or the iPhone 18 Pro for professional use.

Features of Handoff

With Handoff, users can switch their phone number between two compatible iPhones at their convenience. This means that a number can be active on one device at a time, but not on both simultaneously. This feature is particularly useful for those who want to manage their calls and messages across multiple devices.

03. Comparison with Other Carriers

It is interesting to note that other carriers such as T-Mobile in the United States also offer this function, but at a more advantageous rate of $5 per month. In contrast, AT&T does not seem to plan to adopt Handoff in the near future. In Europe, the situation is similar, with operators like EE in the UK offering Handoff for free to certain subscribers.

04. Choosing an iPhone: New or Refurbished

When considering taking advantage of this new feature, it is essential to think about the choice of device. Opting for a new iPhone guarantees the latest technologies, but refurbished models can offer excellent value for money. The latter allow access to advanced features like Handoff without breaking the bank.

Whether you choose a new or refurbished iPhone, make sure to check compatibility with the latest version of iOS to fully enjoy Handoff.

05. Conclusion

The iPhone Handoff feature offered by Verizon is an interesting advancement for iPhone users looking to manage their communication across multiple devices.
